In cases where the Requisitioner or the Procurement Officer/Assistant believes that a procurement exercise will be especially complex or sensitive, the Procurement Staff, upon consultation with the Director, UN/PD, may seek to involve Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) at an early stage of the procurement process in order to ensure that all legal issues raised by the solicitation are addressed in a timely manner.
Examples of procurements that may call for consultation with the OLA include: |
procurements of an especially high value, |
procurements that present novel legal issues, or |
procurements that pose a serious risk of damage to property or loss of life or injury to persons. |
