According to United Nations Financial Regulation 5.14, following the liquidation of a peacekeeping operation, equipment and other property shall be disposed of in accordance with Financial Regulations and Rules.

Sale of Real Property Any proposed sale of real or immovable
property owned by the United Nations shall be referred to the Office of Legal Affairs for advice, wherever appropriate.
A report on the final disposition of assets for each such liquidated peacekeeping operation shall be submitted to the General Assembly.
