The terms and conditions of the solicitation documents may be modified by the Procurement Officer/Assistant to encompass requirements of a specialized nature, provided that such modifications do not alter the applicable United Nations General Conditions of Contract (UNGCC).

Any significant change(s) to the UNGCC before the issuance of solicitation documents requires the prior approval of the ASG/OCSS and appropriate input from Office of Legal Affairs (OLA).

If changes to the forms of the UNGCC are required after the solicitation, the UN/PD Contracts Officer or, in the case of Field Missions, the Legal Officer should be consulted in the first instance. For substantive changes to the UNGCC, the advice of OLA must be obtained.
