  Module Introduction

Solicitation is the process used by the UN Procurement Community to communicate procurement requirements and to request responses from interested vendors. Solicitation can be in the form of a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation to Bid (ITB) or Request for Proposal (RFP).

This module is divided into three parts:


At the end of this module, you will be able to:
Describe the steps involved in preparation for solicitation
State the criteria for the selection of vendors
Identify the different methods of solicitation undertaken by the UN Procurement Community
Explain the terms and conditions specified in the solicitation documents
