Procurement Authority at OAHs and Field Missions

The procurement authority is systematically delegated at Offices Away from Headquarters (OAHs) and Field Missions to ensure smooth functioning at all times.

The delegated financial limits are based on the system-wide financial limits taking into consideration the size and complexity of the OAH or Field Mission, experience of staff, the availability of checks and controls, and whether an LCC has or will be established.

Individual procurement authority may be changed at any time in writing by the
ASG/OCSS, or by any official who has been duly authorised by the ASG/OCSS to sub-delegate procurement authority.

Additional or exceptional delegations of authority may be granted periodically by the ASG/OCSS to designated Procurement Staff of specific departments, OAHs and Field Missions, for limited durations or purposes.

Field Missions

At Field Missions, DMS/CMS are empowered to issue Delegations of Procurement Authority to Procurement Staff on an individual basis.
